ParleNaija is a community built on respect, curiosity, and shared growth. These guidelines exist to keep it that way for everyone.
Last updated: 22 May 2026
ParleNaija exists to help Nigerians learn French together. Every feature — the community feed, lessons, leaderboard, direct messages — is built to support that goal. When you use ParleNaija, you are joining a community of learners who share your journey. Treat it that way.
If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the 🚩 Report button on any post or comment. Select the reason that best describes the issue and submit. Our moderation team reviews every report. Valid reports — where action is taken — earn you 10 community points. This is our way of recognising members who help keep ParleNaija safe. Depending on the severity of a violation, we may warn the user, remove the content, or both. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.
Direct messaging is available between friends only. The same standards apply — harassment, unsolicited explicit content, or any abusive behaviour in DMs is a violation of these guidelines and may result in account action.
Points are earned through positive contributions — completing lessons, posting, commenting, liking, celebrating birthdays, referring friends, and making valid reports. Attempting to game the system through spam or fake engagement is a violation and may result in points being removed.
These guidelines may be updated as the community grows. We will notify users of significant changes via the app. Continued use of ParleNaija after changes are posted means you accept the updated guidelines.
If you have a question about these guidelines or want to report something that the in-app tool doesn't cover, reach out to us at support@parlenaija.com.
